The brand-new Instinct boots offer the ultimate in grip, mobility, and protection. They are tailor-made for advanced and professional riders who demand the best performance from their motocross boots. The Instinct has been completely redesigned from the sole up, with direct input from riders like Ken Roczen, Tim Gajser, Adam Cianciarulo, Ryan Dungey, and the Pro Circuit team to improve the fit, grip, and closure system.

Grip and control.
The Instinct boots feature ULTRATAC on the outsole, side of the foot, ankle, and burn guard, so you practically stay glued to the bike. This rubber compound, offered exclusively by Fox, provides the best grip available. The sleek and low-profile medial design (inside of the boot) increases the boot's surface area, allowing you to stay in close contact with the bike and further enhancing your connection.

Fit and Comfort:
The Instinct boots are now available in half sizes across the most common size ranges (9.5, 10.5, and 11.5), offering improved comfort and a more precise fit. The focus is on the new and improved last—the foot-molded shape that determines how the boot conforms to the foot—ensuring comfort right out of the box. This last is used across all boots in our line, ensuring a consistent size and fit. If you wear a size 9 in the Instinct, that's your size for the enTire "reboot" line: Instinct, Motion, and Comp. Riders can now enjoy a consistent, true-to-size fit—simply order your normal shoe size and you're good to go.

Protection
: In terms of protection, Instinct boots incorporate TPU, a hard plastic material, in strategic areas, providing full coverage where you need it most. These boots offer the highest level of protection of any Fox motocross boot, with minimal to no gaps in coverage, TPU protection at the ankle, over the Achilles tendon (which also contains a metal insert), at the calf, shin plate, and toe cap. The patented hinge lockout system around the ankle also stops movement to help prevent hyperextension and injuries.

Secure closures.
For 2022, the buckle and closure system has also been updated. On the Instinct boots, this 4-buckle system features a new, patented, forged metal buckle system. This system provides a durable, secure closure for a precise fit and includes extended levers for easy opening and closing. The new ball-joint mechanism ensures that your mobility is not restricted by this system as the boot flexes and contracts while riding. This buckle and closure system is the same across all Fox boots, but the Instinct has the improved, forged metal buckles for increased durability.

Mobility & Support:
When it comes to top-tier performance, mobility and support go hand in hand, and the hinge system on these boots provides both. This system allows for more controlled forward and backward movement while providing lateral support around the ankle and reducing sideways motion while riding. Additional support comes from polyurethane in the shoe's tongue to increase rigidity, which is especially useful when tackling pro-level obstacles like whoops, high-speed turns, and triples. The sole is engineered to provide strategic stiffness where you need it most, further optimizing feel, support, and agility. Combined with the stiffer tongue and comfort liner, you get the stiffest and most performance-oriented shoe available. This makes the Instinct the shoe of choice for any rider seeking the best equipment to reach the top step of the podium.
